Ruimsig Golf View Manor is an upmarket thatched guest house situated in the prestigious suburb of Ruimsig in the West Rand, offering five large luxurious rooms with original, unique and valuable pieces of furniture. These rooms share a large lounge where residents can receive friends and family. The interior of the manor is a stunning blend of both African and classic design.
Accommodation
All executive and luxury rooms are large with tall thatched roofs to enhance the feeling of space, each having their own unique interior finishes. All rooms have a unique collection of carved glass furniture and mirrors. The executive rooms have large and spacey bathrooms en suite with a spa bath for your relaxation and a large glass walk in shower.
The luxury rooms have glass showers en suite. All rooms have their own private entrance to a beautifully manicured designer garden, in which many varieties of local birds can be seen at any one time. A perfect getaway for a sunset drink.
All bedrooms have tea / coffee facilities, heaters, desks, satellite TV with a comprehensive bouquet of channels available, hairdryer, safe, high quality cotton linen, soft towels, bottled water, bath salts, shower caps and wrapped soap.
Breakfast and Dining
Breakfasts offer a good variety of food choices ensuring satisfaction to all. Additional meals may be provided by prior arrangement. The Manor specializes in Portuguese home fusion cuisine. Meals are discussed in detail with guests to ensure their total satisfaction.
Barbecues/ braais can be arranged for residents and limited numbers of guests invited by them. Guests are welcome to have friends and family dine with them in the formal dining rooms, providing that the manor is not fully booked. Skype dinners are our speciality. We arrange for families to have dinner together with friends and family members that may be far away by using Skype to allow them to share the occasion!
Services and Facilities
Normal laundry facilities are available. Nursing, babysitting, personal security, flight arranging, car rentals and translators can be organized for you.
Conferences
Our conference facility is equipped with a 2400 x 1800mm screen, data projector, a 55 inch flat TV unit with attachments for laptops, flip charts and ADSL connections. The facility holds up to 30 delegates.
Weddings
The manor specializes in private upmarket executive dinners. The manor has a facility for wedding ceremonies and has a stunning honeymoon suite.
Attractions and Activities
The manor is directly opposite the Roodepoort Country Club of which the golf course was designed by Gary Player and Ron Kerby and is considered to be in the top ten greens in the country, perfect for lovers of the game.
The manor is within easy access to highways both to Pretoria and Johannesburg, shopping malls in particular North Gate and Clearwater, gyms, Lanseria Airport, casinos, the lion park, clinics, the Cradle of Humankind and various wild game parks, soccer and other sport stadiums.
