This exquisite venue, which offers exclusivity for groups has it’s own private “beach” with spectacular views and caters for corporate groups for conferences and teambuilds, incentive groups, year-end functions or just a day away!

The Islander and the Barn are two totally unique venues, each conducive to their own theme. The Nutbush Boma Lodge has 34 private rooms and three conference rooms. For day functions, much larger groups can be accommodated.

We have different rooms types: Mountain View Rooms, Luxury Tented Rooms, Beach Cottages and Bungalows. There are also five self catering units available for groups wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life.

Meals

The food is delicious, tasty and fresh and we cater for all dietary requirements.

Conferences

The Convention centre:
This is a stunning conference room that is huge, fully air-conditioned with loads of plug points throughout the room and is offered with standard conference equipment. It seats up to a max of 300 pax, although even small groups find this room exceptionally comfortable and functional.

The Great Escape:
Also used as a conference room and is an airy, light and bright conference with standard equipment.

Lion's Den
Lion’s Den is a small conference room that seats up to about 30 pax – also offered with standard equipment.

Team building

We offer it all, from fun to real team builds which focus on planning, communication, trust and listening. Our best team build we offer is the Mission team build which is great fun but teaches teams the importance of planning, communication, trust and listening as well as to build mutual respect.

Our best theme evening is an "Around the World Trip". This is a unique evening activity where we make passports for each delegate and then we create a mock aircraft. Duty-free bags and refreshments on the plane prior to take off. Our DJ has got all the pre-recorded sound effects of OR Tambo International.

After the flight, complete with our in-flight recording, the passengers disembark and proceed to the beach where six stalls have been erected bearing the flag of each country. On arrival at each country, the delegates are greeted by music from that country. Gifts, snacks, drinks- alcoholic and non-alcoholic of that country are provided in each country.

The final country to be visited is Mauritius in the Islander, where delegates are presented with garlands, Tequila sunrises, and sega music. The party then carries on after they have had a delicious beach braai dinner.

Game drives, quad biking, archery, power scooters, the mission, activities that build, abseiling, colonial cricket, mini olympics, the amazing race, paint ball war games, river rafting, laser clay pigeon shoot and traditional, pulse ranger wargames, scrapbook your teambuild, getting to know each other, raft building, survival, orienteering, crazy games, scavenger hunt, hot air balloon trips, human foosball, inflatable circuit, climbing wall, boogie bodies, mashie golf, movie making, ropes course, an obstacle circuit and a bridge swing, caving, the canopy tours, activities for kids.
