DESCRIPTION:
The Munday Bed & Breakfast is perfectly situated in the tranquil up-market residential suburb of Bedfordview in Johannesburg. The only entrance to this peaceful estate is through three protected boom gates, with CCTV cameras and a 24 hour guard creating a peaceful environment for walks, jogging and cycling.
Accommodation
We offer four self catering apartments and four luxurious bedrooms, newly renovated with beautiful en-suite bathrooms in the guest house. The guesthouse bedrooms have flat screen TVs with satellite, under floor heating and block out lining on all curtains. The bedrooms are individually furnished in a modern and edgy fashion with warm earthy browns, creams, whites and soft greens and a desk-cum dressing table.
B&B Bedrooms
One of the luxury bedrooms has an extra length bed with an en suite bathroom which has a separate bath and walk in shower and two basins for his and her as well as a mini bar. The second bedroom has a deluxe queen size bed with a joining study with a mini bar, en suite bathroom which also has separate bath to the walk in shower. The third bedroom with deluxe queen size bed has just a shower in the en suite bathroom. The fourth bedroom with a deluxe double size bed also has just a shower in the on suite bathroom.
There is a spacious lounge for our guests to relax and a large dining room. The beautiful covered patio with couches is ideal for relaxing. There are braai facilities, with a dining area on the patio looking into the large evergreen garden. Our emphasis is on warmth, ambiance and comfort while watching the many different bird species that have been spotted here. It’s a place to relax and unwind in the peace and quiet of the secure estate.
Self Catering Apartments
The apartments are modern, spacious, open plan units which have all been newly furnished. Two of the four self catering apartments offer private gardens with a sleeper couch in the lounge, has a dining room and kitchen open plan and one bedroom with a deluxe queen size bed on suite bathroom with shower/bath.
One the apartments is all in white and wheelchair accessible with a deluxe queen size bed. The bathroom has a very large shower. We have also one unit which has two bedrooms with deluxe queen size beds, kitchenette and sharing bathroom. The kitchens are fully-equipped with a stove, under cover oven, microwave, toaster and kettle. A refrigerator and large freezer are also supplied.
Services
At the reception desk we have the facility of fax machine come printer. You can purchase for local or world call airtime through our credit card machine. Free Wi-Fi is available.
We offer shuttle services to the international airport and to and from venues. We also offer our guests a 24 hour private chauffeur who will pick you from the airport take you to your meeting.
Location
We are approximately 8km from OR Tambo International Airport and minutes away from the elite Bedford Centre Shopping Mall and walking distance to the huge Mecca; Eastgate shopping mall with fine restaurants, sports bars where you can watch big games and lots of night life entertainment at Key West and more shopping at Park Meadows Mall, all with fine restaurants, popular tourist attractions (such as Bruma Lake Flea Market), Gillooly's Conference Centre, Gillooly's lake with a picnic park, Gillooly's Dog Kennel which host all the major dog shows.
We also have easy access to all major highways (100 metres). Hospitals, doctors are around the corner. Ellis Park which hosts all the big rugby matches is only 4km from the guest house and Ellis Park stadium hosted the soccer games we hosted over 400 people during 2010 soccer world cup.
We also very close to China Town and Victory Theatre. Areas we are close to is Kempton Park, Edenvale, Germiston, Kensington, Cyrildene and many more in our radius.
Notes
The Munday is a non-smoking establishment but guests are welcome to smoke on patios and other outside areas. Each guest is given their own remote control as there is ample covered and secure parking for all our guests and visitors. Pets are not allowed.
