DESCRIPTION:
The guests are welcomed by the friendly day front desk staffs who are assisted by professional colleques in the evening. The front desk staffs are fully aware of Gauteng events, tours and effectively provide guests with non-intrusive information to ensure a pleasurable stay.
Accommodation
Kwa Mkhabele Lodge and Tours has nine bedroom en-suite, each of our rooms are equipped with air conditioning, DSTV connection, soaps, towels, face cloths, gowns, slippers, cream and lotions are provided.
Self Catering
Our en-suite self catering room is called Sekhukhune. It is equipped with a Queen bed, large wardrobe, desk and chair, DStv, fridge, microwave and a stove with a grill. There are reading lamps and a one seater large sofa.
Guests are invited to complete and submit a guests interest survey, during the evening these are collected and an itinerary and service providers are contacted to be ready for guests e.g. tours guides to Soweto or Magaliesburg. In the foyer there are display cards of all scenic places and tourist attractions.
Breakfast and Dining
A wide selection of mouth watering dishes are prepared to cater for the taste buds of the guests, whether vegetarians or meat lovers. Special dietary and diabetic dishes are catered for, and all meat is halaal. Always aware of early rising movers and shakers ; Breakfast is provided from 06h00am-10h00 am, with tasty lunch boxes or fruit packed upon request. Snacks, coffee and tea provided for late arrivals.
In true African hospitality, the Lapa invites guests to enjoy the aroma of oak log; the bonfire provides the setting for many a story or yarn to be told. There is a pleasant garden with trees and bird-seeders to attract local bird life. The homely, relaxing ambiance is enhanced by a solar heated 5m x 7m swimming pool which has a safety precaution net.
Two spacious patios provide comfy lounging on summer on leather chairs. Sunny umbrella covering provide a setting for cold drinks, snacks or afternoon tea in the warm African sun.
Conferences
Kwa Mkhabele Lodge conferencing facility, caters for 20 people cinema style, it has a big screen to cater for viewing needs. There is on-site audio visual equipment that meets modern day requirements complete with air conditioning. Assistance is on hand to help set up equipment, enabling presenters to focus on the event. In the spirit of co-operation Kwa Mkhabele Lodge collaborates with other guest houses and conference providers in the South of Johannesburg and Soweto to cater for overflow of guests.
Tours
There are a variety of packages with tours departing from Kwa Mkhabele Lodge from 07h00am on request, snacks, refreshments and lunch are included. The tours return to Kwa Mkhabele Lodge at 17h00. Some of our tour trips includes, Sun City (Pilanesburg National Park, Soweto Townships including Vilakazi street, Kruger National Park, Cradle Of Human Kind ( World Heritage Site) Magaliesburg (Elephant Sanctuary). Gauteng Museums, Gold Reef City Casino. Etc.

Kwa Mkhabele Lodge is 400 meters from the Glen Shopping Mall, 10km to Soweto, 7.3km to Soccer City Stadium, 7.4km to Ellis Park Stadium, 23km to Sandton City, 7km to Johannesburg City Centre (Panorama Carlton Centre Tower), 5km to Gold Reef City Amusement Park, 29km to O.R Tambo International Airport, 53km to Lanseria Airport, 5km to Apartheid Museum, 77km to Vaal Dam, 67km to Pretoria CBD and many more.
Kwa Mkhabele Lodge and Tours are a qualified tour operator company with a fleet of four BMW sedans, two Chrysler Voyagers and an off road 4x4 vehicle. All our drivers have all necessary papers. Our vehicles carry a passenger liability insurance and have necessary permits from Gauteng Transport Board. |
