Khayalethu Backpackers in Hatfield, Pretoria offers safe, clean and affordable budget accommodation to Sports Teams, Groups and backpackers or budget travellers visiting Pretoria in Gauteng.
Within easy walking distance of the University of Pretoria, University of Pretoria Sports Grounds - L.C de Villiers (200m), Hatfield Plaza (800m) and Gautrain station guests will find Khayalethu Backpackers to be centrally located and the perfect accommodation choice.
Accommodation
The Backpackers has five large dorm rooms. The first room can sleep up to three guests. There are two four sleeper dorms. One in the main house, the second a large en-suite room has two walk in showers, and a toilet. Both six sleeper dorms easily accommodate the three bunk beds and lockers. Each guest can store luggage and valuables in the lockers provided. There is also a luggage store, should guests wish to leave their luggage and have a last trip around Pretoria before departing on the next leg of their journey.
Bathroom facilities include the three newly tiled walk in showers and three toilets. The kitchen at the back of the property is available for guests to use. A large fridge is available to guests, and the supermarket in the Hatfield Plaza is open for extended trading hours on weeknights. Mr Delivery and certain Hatfield restaurants can offer the convenience of a delivery service to guests who wish to have take-away meals delivered to them.
The paved parking in front of the property offers safe-off street parking for five cars and or a small bus. The key pad on the motor gate offers guests 24 hour pedestrian access. The large thatch lounge is the ideal place to relax and watch TV, surf the internet (free Telkom WI-FI internet access provided) your own notebook is required to access this service. Coffee and tea are provided, free of charge in the lounge. There is also a bar fridge in the lounge for guests to use. All rates include a basic breakfast of coffee, tea, cereals and toast.
Facilities
Facilities are available for guests wishing to wash clothes, before the next leg of a trip. Laundry facilities are available on the Hatfield Square. Credit and Debit Card facilities are unfortunately not available, cash and EFT payments are gladly accepted. There is a braai (barbeque) area available for guests to use. The Lapa next to the kitchen makes for an excellent meeting spot to chat to other guests, play cards or just relax. Fresh towels are provided daily.
Location
Khayalethu Backpackers is ideally located in the small residential suburb of Hatfield and East of Duncan street, the main motorway through the suburb. Many foreign embassy offices are located in Hatfield and Arcadia in Gauteng, Visitors to Pretoria may have business with the SAQA (South African Qualifications Authority) , The Canadian Visa application office, one of the NGO offices.
The Hatmed Suites and travel clinic are also only a short walk away, as is the Urology Hospital and Loftus Rugby and Football Grounds.
