DESCRIPTION:
The Gardens Guesthouse is ideally located in a quaint suburb of Norwood, Johannesburg, which is characterised by a large variety of restaurants and boutique shops that add to its cosmopolitan atmosphere. We are 5 minutes walk from the newly built Norwood Mall and the numerous trendy shops, restaurants and boutiques of Grant Avenue in Norwood.
Norwood is a suburb located within a stone’s throw of most of the major business districts in Johannesburg, such as Houghton, Melrose Arch, Killarney, Illovo, Sandton, Rosebank and the CBD of Johannesburg. It is also easily accessible from the M1 (11th Avenue off -ramp) and the N3 (Linksfield off-ramp) highways. For those relying on public transport, there is a Metrobus stop about 200m from our front gate. Access to OR Tambo International airport is also relatively easy from the Norwood area.
Accommodation
Each of our seven beautifully decorated en-suite rooms are equipped tea/coffee facilities, an electronic safe, and TV (DSTV select channels). All rooms are en-suite and can either be configured as a double (king size bed) or a twin (two single beds). You will find your room to be of the highest quality - offering you a luxurious comfort during your stay with us.
Each room has been carefully constructed with great attention to detail affording each room its own unique appeal and ambience. The highest quality linen combined with down duvets and 5 star pillows ensure that you have a super restful night’s sleep.
Most of our rooms have en-suite showers, with the exception of the Acacia Room which offers a bath with hand held shower. The Lavender room is fitted with a small kitchenette offering extra convenience to the guests staying in this room. This room is also adjoined to the Rosemary Room - a great feature for a family to use both rooms.
Breakfast
Our friendly staff will be there to serve you a hearty full breakfast each morning which includes a continental buffet, hot breakfast with eggs made to order and tea or coffee. Rooms will also be serviced daily, and we offer a turndown service to ensure you enjoy the utmost comfort.
Services and Facilities
The facilities are serviced and tended by a team of well trained, discreet staff that cater for all of our patrons’ needs. There is a 24-hour on site doorman supported by an effective armed response unit.
Other facilities we offer include central fridges and a microwave for guests to prepare their lunch or dinner, a full size billiard table, dart board, swimming pool, two central flat screen TVs, secure parking and a quiet reading room which looks on to our water featured atrium. Most restaurants in the Norwood area will deliver directly to The Gardens Guesthouse and Mr Delivery is well accustomed to going the extra mile for our guests.
Included in your stay is complimentary Wi-Fi, free calls to the United States on our Skype phone, as well as a laundry and shoe shine service. The Gardens Guesthouse is the ideal location for the travelling businessman or woman offering everything you would need during your stay. We are also suited for family groups or those coming up to Johannesburg for family functions. Special rates are offered to corporate, group bookings or long term stays.
