Ebony and Ivory Guesthouse is owned by David and Letitia Switala who have been in the hospitality industry for over 14 years and welcome you into their guest house.
Accommodation
The guest house has five well-spaced rooms with two single beds or queen beds depending on your requirements. The three rooms that are upstairs could be used for a group of three to six as there are self-catering facilities upstairs with a balcony for the smokers or for one to relax on, in the fresh air.
The upstairs rooms are suitable for long staying guests as well as families who are looking for a halfway house before immigrating and need some where to stay before all documents and things are ready. The upstairs rooms have a separate entrance for those you do not want to make use of the house entrance. The other two rooms are situated in the main house with their own bathrooms. Two of the rooms have full bathrooms with shower and bath and the other bathrooms only have baths.
The rooms are equipped with tea and coffee making facilities for your own convenience or coffee and tea is freely available in the main house all day. TV with satellite DSTV is available in all the rooms. You are welcomed to complimentary mineral water and chocolates on arrival. The beds have clean fresh linen with extra blankets available and wall heaters for the chilly nights. There is ample closet space for anyone who is traveling with a lot of luggage.
A communal lounge where one can sit quietly and relax with a book in front of the fire place is available for all guests. This leads from the dining area which is linked to the kitchen where fresh home cooked meals are prepared.
Breakfast and Dining
Our rates are inclusive of hot and cold breakfast with freshly brewed coffee,and is served at the time that is convenient for you, especially for those travellers wanting to get an early start. Lunch and dinners can be arranged for those who choose to eat home cooked food rather than eating take a-ways every night.
Facilities
We have a thatched lapa with a built in braai and spit braai turner that guests are more than welcome to make use of. The lapa can also be used for small groups of about 20 people who would like to arrange a small braai with friends and work colleagues. There are safe and secure under cover parking facilities with CCTV cameras for your safety.
Location
Ebony and Ivory Guesthouse is situated close to the N17 high which leads to Johannesburg and Springs. We are also close to the Witbank highway. Johannesburg O.R. Tambo international airport is only 14Km away from us. The East Rand Mall and Carnival Mall are both close to us and there are other malls and shopping facilities close by. |
