Within this Jacaranda lined setting stands a gracious villa, a landmark of elegance and tranquility dating from the turn of the century. The doors of Birdwood Guest House are open to discerning travelers seeking a home from home in the classic style.
Birdwood is situated within a five minutes’ drive of 30 embassies, the Union Buildings and Hatfield Shopping Centre. OR Tambo International Airport is approximately 40km from us and Pilanesberg, a game park which is home to the Big Five, about 50km.
Accommodation
Soaring molded ceilings period wooden doors and windows, stained glass, antique furniture and an imposing staircase give the cheerful Birdwood interior a warm glow. All rooms have en-suite bathrooms, satellite television, air-conditioning, direct dial telephones and coffee and tea facilities. In summer guests can wind down in the large gardens with a pool.

Ample parking space provided with 24 hour security guards ensuring the safety of our guests. Easy access towards the N1 and N4 highways allow for stress-free traveling to your business- or leisure destination. Birdwood is a Wi-Fi hotspot and we have a conference facility for up to 40 guests. In addition to our luxury accommodation, we can arrange reliable airport transfers and local tours through a private company; let us know whether you would like to make use of these services.
Breakfast and Dining
A full English breakfast and a Continental breakfast is served daily. The elegant settings of the Birdwood dining room are enhanced by silver, crystal and bone china with unpretentious quality. Dishes are prepared with the finest quality ingredients, all served with flair and personal attention.
The room rate includes a full English and continental breakfast. Lunch and dinner is served on request, individually prepared by our in-house chef. All special dietary requirements can be catered for by arrangement.
Conferences
At Birdwood Boutique Estate, the conference facilities prove successful because of its pleasant surroundings and many facilities which include a data projector, flip charts and notepads and pens. We have a wide selection of Menu Options suitable for a number of functions. We will make every effort to adjust or amend menus according to your specific needs and taste. |
