DESCRIPTION:
18, 13th Avenue Parktown North is a gracious and compact Johannesburg home set in a leafy, quiet old established suburb, close to cinemas, restaurants and, the Rosebank and Sandton CBDS’s. Hyde Park Shopping Centre is an easy 5 minute drive away. OR Tambo International Airport is an approximately 40 minute drive (we do airport transfers on request if staff available.)
The house boasts spacious reception rooms with a very large lounge overlooking a pretty garden and sparkling pool. In winter a crackling fire is always lit every evening.
Accommodation
The two B&B units in the house are named the Garden Room and the Patio Suite.
The Garden Room
Has its own entrance from the garden and is a large sunny double bedroom boasting a king size double bed, and ample cupboard space. Its large bathroom (bath only) is newly fitted and luxuriously appointed.
The Patio Suite
Consists of a double bedroom with a queen size double bed, and a separate large dressing room which can also be used as a dayroom / study. A charming outdoor patio leads off the bedroom and is ideal, if desired, for breakfast in summer. The bathroom, (shower only) is also newly and luxuriously appointed. The Patio Suite is accessed through the front door of the house, straight into the suite.
Facilities
Both units are comfortably and stylishly decorated and the house is equipped with wireless internet access. Both rooms have their own TV’s which have all the SABC channels plus limited DSTV coverage. Secure off street parking is available but may require relocation of guests’ cars from time to time, by the owners.
The dining room is a lovely large room with a fireplace to warm it on those cold winter mornings. The house is protected by an electric fence, electronic gates and an alarm system in the driveway. In addition, the guard house for the Street guards (ADT) is located on the pavement almost directly outside the house.
Location
Two charming restaurants are a safe 5 minute walk away. The one Tres Nonni is an excellent Italian restaurant and the other, Giles is a family restaurant with its own very popular and congenial pub.
